After seven years of representing clients in employment related matters with a highly respected St. Louis law firm, Bo Thomeczek joined his brother Jim. Since then, Bo has continued to represent a number of corporations with employment and general legal matters, while acquiring a well-rounded knowledge of school-related legal issues.
Bo is a graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law. A Dean’s List student at Mizzou, Bo also served as a research assistant to two nationally known labor arbitrators, Tim Heinz (who was at the time the Dean of the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law) and John Mikrut. Bo’s undergraduate degree is from St. Louis University, where he pursued dual majors in Personnel and Industrial Relations and Finance.
While at St. Louis University, Bo played on its Division I baseball team.
Bo is a frequent presenter at state-wide and regional conferences, such as the Missouri Council of Administrators of Special Education annual law conference and the annual meeting of the Kansas City LASE group.
Bo has represented school districts in administrative proceedings and in both state and federal court. He has extensive experience in representing clients in discrimination investigations by the EEOC and the MCHR, in workers’ compensation hearings, and in challenges to claims for unemployment. Bar admissions including the Missouri Supreme Court, United States District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri, United States District Court for the Western District of Missouri, United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit, Illinois Supreme Court, United States District Court for the Southern District of Illinois and the United States District Court for the Central District of Illinois. |
